A coursework project implementing HetioNet using Neo4j and MongoDB with a Streamlit demo
HetioNet DB Implementation was a Big Data course project (private repo) exploring graph + document databases together.
- Streamlit app for ingesting HetioNet nodes/edges (TSV) into both Neo4j (graph) and MongoDB (document store)
- Runs canned Cypher queries against the graph, e.g. looking up disease information by ID
- Backend split into separate Neo4j and MongoDB modules; ingestion/query logic in a main script, Streamlit frontend on top
Coursework project, not deployed anywhere — no live demo link.
