Umar M. Faruque

I’m a software engineer with a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Hunter College (CUNY). My interests sit at the intersection of machine learning and software engineering — I enjoy building safe, efficient, and impactful systems.

My work spans data infrastructure, geospatial analysis, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines. During my undergrad, I researched reinforcement learning and deep learning for flood prediction and missing data imputation at Hunter College’s Distributed AI Research Lab.
